Who we are
Brookland Kitchens & Interiors is run by James Taylor, a sole trader based in the West Midlands. If you have any questions about your information, email hello@brooklandkitchens.co.uk.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry, we receive what you enter: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, postcode, your measurements, the layout and finishes you chose, any notes, and any photos you upload.
If you agree to cookies, we also collect information about how you use the website. Our cookie policy explains this.
We don’t have customer accounts, and we don’t ask for payment details on the website.
Why we use it
We use your details to reply to your enquiry, prepare your quote, and if you go ahead, carry out the work and look after your guarantee. We only contact you about your enquiry or your job. We don’t send marketing emails.
Where it’s kept
Enquiries are stored in our Google account: the details in a spreadsheet, your photos in Google Drive, and a copy in our email. Google looks after this data for us and may store it outside the UK, with safeguards in place to protect it.
Our website is hosted by Cloudflare, which handles basic technical information such as your IP address to deliver the site securely.
Who we share it with
If a subcontractor works on your job, we give them only what they need, usually your name and address, and your phone number if they need to contact you. We never sell your details or share them for anyone else’s marketing.
If you agree to cookies, Google and Meta receive information about your visit to the website. See our cookie policy.
How long we keep it
If your enquiry doesn’t go ahead, we delete it within 6 months, including your photos. While we’re still discussing your job, we keep it until that’s settled.
If we carry out work for you, we keep your details for 10 years after fitting, so we can honour your guarantee and keep proper business records.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. If you agreed to cookies, you can withdraw that at any time. Email hello@brooklandkitchens.co.uk and we’ll deal with it within a month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
